Miami Beach, Florida holds a large Art Basel even every year. The Miu Miu pop-up store will be integrated into this event. Due to it’s close proximity to the event and with limited edition items corresponding with Art Basel, the store is an opportunity for Miu Miu to expand its brand. Located in the fashion, food, and art district which is a destination for locals and tourists. A close drive to the ocean drive, south beach, and the park, this area will attract many different people.

In collaboration with Fashion Marketing, User Experience, Industrial Design, Graphic Design and Architecture students, this project was developed from the products being sold, to the store design. The focus on integrating a beauty line into the Miu Miu brand was the main focus, while creating limited edition Art Basel products to introduce at the opening of the Miu Miu pop-up store.

Matelasse X Art Basel

The limited edition bag created by fashion marketing students inspired by Art Basel design. This influenced the interior design of the retial space through the shapes and colors seen in the bag.

Technology

Mobile Application will be launched two weeks before the Miu Miu Beauty Pop-Up. Used as a promotional tool as well as an omnichannel and e-commerce tool. Sales through the mobile application can only be made after the Pop-Up is launched. During the Pop-Up the app may be used for in-store pick-up and after Art Basel, app may be used for nationwide sales. The app has scanning features that allow customers to see swatches / videos / photos of the product / products with different skin tones. Enhancing the technology and user experience through the space there will be touch screen monitors on the walls as well as the mobile app to create a easy check out process while in the store.

Miu Miu, traditionally is a very playful, colorful brand but always creates a certain level of elegance and luxury. The Miu Miu Art Basel pop up is inspired by Art Deco colors found in the area, while incorporating the brand’s traditional design feel. The first Miu Miu store with a beauty bar where shoppers can try out the beauty products through an elevated experience. The store was designed to showcase the limited edition products designed by our team. Curvature throughout the design helps achieve the elegance of the space.
